Department of
Family Ministry
Family ministry teaches the principle and purpose of God’s design for the family and helps married couples build a happy family life accordingly. Healthy families are essential for a thriving society and nation. Family ministry aims to help our church members restore their marriage, guide children to the right path and bear fruit as well at home and work as at church. Through this ministry, we want to see families restored and God’s Kingdom expand by reviving worship at home.
It is our hope and intention to help raise up the “family”, the founding element of a society, by means of various education programs including family training school, young married couples school, global cooperation team, married couples school as well as healing schools for the divorced and bereaved.
Department of
College and Young Adults
We are given a vision of training college students/young adults through holy, spiritual leadership and sending them so as to see God’s plan for revival unfold among the next generation.
Our main works include promoting worship filled with passion seeking God’s presence and balanced nurturing system centered around the Word, serving the neighbors/society in need, campus missions for revival on school campuses, and bringing the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
It is our hope to see the youth on this earth worship God only and wholeheartedly, be servant leaders as the salt and light, and reach out and witness to all people and all nations.
Currently, 7 young adults communities and 3 college students communities are actively operating around Seoul starting from Seobinggo and Yangjae Campuses.
Department of
Discipleship
Onnuri Church’s discipleship philosophy focuses on growing mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ as believers who are in the process of writing up Acts Chapter 29, which is the very vision given to our church.
Discipleship starts from the small group community. We want to be closer to our members through the process of discipleship within small groups first and make it easier for spiritual visits and ministering to be conducted.
Onnuri Church’s discipleship curriculum provides a total of 80 different subjects from 6 different areas. Each subject divide into mandatory and elective courses.
Our discipleship programs are available both on-and off-line.
Department of
Special Needs Ministry
Our vision is about building God’s community where people with or without special needs can live together. We want those with special needs who are socially marginalized and vulnerable to improve self-esteem and live a life in the image of God. To this end, we offer them education according to life cycle. Typically, we 1) serve with worship ministry, 2) offer life cycle-based discipleship, 3) promote individual talent provide self-sufficiency training, 4) train teachers and volunteers, 5) support parents of disabled children, and 6) weave mission network and build livelihood community. To support the developmentally disabled, Seobinggo Campus runs three divisions: Dream Sarang, Sarang, and Jesus Sarang; Yangjae, Gangdong, Bucheon, and Incheon Campuses run one Sarang division each to make 7 in total. Based on functions, we have Sarang Chamber Orchestra, Onsarang Chorus, as well as Nuri Sarang (for the physically disabled) divisions that we serve.
Department of
Recovery Ministry
Recovery Ministry first aims to help those who suffer spiritually, mentally, or physically be restored and come back to the society. We then encourage them to dedicate themselves as “the wounded healer” and to help those in trouble that they can relate to. Our final goal is to raise them as true worshipers who reveal God’s glory in the day-to-day life.
We have 13 different mission teams, and each of them is customized to meeting particular needs of church members. We serve through Friday Recovery Worship, Hanmaeum Mental Recovery Worship, Monday Anointing Rally, Internal Healing School, Freedom School, Relationship Skills Training, Emotionally Sound Spirituality Training, Heart School, Power Impact, Recovery Small Groups and counseling services.
Department of
Small Group Communities
Once registered, all members of Onnuri Church are put in a “Soohn (small group)” of their local small group community by the campus or overseas Vision Church where the membership belongs. They are encouraged to attend weekly Soohn meetings and to take part in the community activities of worship, Holy Spirit and missions. All Onnuri Church communities are dedicated to serving with the vision for the church of Acts, the church led by the Holy Spirit and the church that changes the world. We can know how mature and grown up a small group community by seeing how well Jesus is seen through its members in their day-to-day lives.
Every small group community within Onnuri Church runs a steering committee that features characteristics of the church session for ministriesrelated discussion and decision making. In other words, every Onnuri Church small group community functions as a separate church per se but also unites with one another at the same time, which is the way of pursuing the Acts29 Vision of Onnuri Church.

Department of
International Ministries
Launched in 1988, our department of international ministries is commissioned not only to go out into the world with the Lord’s gospel in hand, but also to serve the foreigners God sent to Korea with His love, nurture them, and send them again. In various ways according to each language service, we 1) introduce foreigners to Jesus Christ, 2) nurture them to grow into disciples of Jesus, and 3) send them again as workers of God’s kingdom. “Onnuri English Ministry” takes part in social justice ministry for domestic local communities and the vulnerable. It also supports care for orphans in Thailand and fight against child trafficking. “Onnuri Chinese Ministry” evangelizes and nurtures Chinese students in Korea through campus ministry and CHISTA (Chinese Students' Christian Association). OCM is in the process of planting churches around 10 cities in China. “Onnuri Japanese Ministry” participates in Love Sonata (urban evangelism rally), supports 7 Vision Churches in Japan and serves 2,000 Partner Churches there. “Onnuri French Ministry” not only evangelizes Francophone populations but prays for and supports evangelism in West Africa. “Onnuri Spanish Ministry” serves Spanish/Hispanic/Latino populations living in Korea from Catholic backgrounds in particular.
Department of
Social Justice
The purpose of social justice missions is to preach the gospel of God’s Kingdom to the society in current time by living a missional life that practices social action. It’s our aspiration to realize God’s Kingdom here on earth. Thus, taking after Jesus, we go out into the world and put God’s justice and mercy into the daily life and every corner of society.
We serve those who are socially marginalized: homeless people, Jjokbang (slice room) residents, North Korean defectors, multicultural families, remote rural village residents and unmarried single mothers.
We reach out to neighbors in need, help them with meals, cleaning, counseling, health checkup, hair/makeup services, and deliver donations of rice and/or money. We hold charity bazaars or open markets and gather together to pray as well.
Department of
Worship Ministry
Onnuri worship ministry takes care of every facet of works relevant to praise and worship services so that believers can worship the Father in the Spirit and in Truth as sought by God.
Onnuri Church’s vision for worship is to worship the way God seeks. To this end, we are adhering to four core values: A genuine worship that centers our attention on God, a worship that meets the needs of worshipers, a worship of which the flow is led by the Holy Spirit, and a worship that reaches out to the world.
Specifically, we serve the worship through our praise team.
Department of
Next Generation Ministries
The next generation we serve divides, based on age, into Jesus Dream (up to 7 years of age), Dream Land (elementary school students), and Power Wave (middle and high school students).
Jesus Dream, which stands for “Children of Jesus Dream”, serves preschool children and helps them grow into disciples of Jesus who dream a Jesus dream and achieve His dream. Dream Land, meaning a Land where Dreams Grow, helps children keep growing in the land filled with God’s Word and His Vision that are to be growing together with them as well. Power Wave is meant for our youths whom we want to raise as leaders equipped with the faith from the early church. Our mission to this end involves carrying the Gospel to the whole teenage population on earth and bring changes to schools through worship, discipleship and missions.
